The PAM-195-P-S3 is the special version of a current-controlled valve amplifier with power limiting function.

The module is designed for installation in a shielded EMC enclosure (control cabinet) and mounts onto a DIN rail. It has an IP20 protection rating.

A 4...20mA or 0...10V input signal is used for control. Another analog input with 4...20mA or 0...10V is used as the actual value for the power limitation. The maximum output current of the PWM power amplifier for controlling the magnets is 2.6A. The current control is independent of the supply voltage and magnetic resistance.

The central parameters of the PAM-195-P-S3 include the specific parameters of the power limitation function (PLV, PLT1), the four-quadrant ramp function (RA:1-RA:4) for defining the acceleration and deceleration times in both directions, the solenoid rated current (CURRENT) and the usual valve parameters MIN/MAX and dither (DFREQ, DAMPL).

The configuration is carried out on a PC using the WPC software via the integrated USB interface.

The PAM-195-P-S3 enables the control of proportional directional control valves and, with the integrated power limitation, provides an additional function for maintaining a constant volume flow.
