The plug-in amplifier family is being expanded with the Duo amplifier – a compact valve amplifier designed for direct mounting on the solenoid coil of directional valves with two coils. A single amplifier handles the coordination and control of both solenoids for smooth directional control.
The amplifier regulates both solenoids using a single parameter set. External mechanisms for matching setpoints between two different devices are no longer necessary. Thanks to the flexible control cable, the connection can be routed to a more convenient location, reducing the space required for valve installation. The satellite cable for the second solenoid is sufficiently long, allowing for unrestricted selection of valve sizes.
Programming is done using the proven WEST software WPC-300, so there’s no need to learn new software.

An especially cost-effective and precise axis control, flexible additional functions, and a smooth and fast commissioning – all of this is offered by our new module POS-321-P.
In addition to the already familiar commissioning assistant, this unit integrates a scripting language based on the “FlexiMod” concept.
This allows the device’s functionality to be easily adapted to the requirements of various applications without the need for external control systems.
Implementing oscillation controls, parameter switching, custom monitoring functions, etc., is extremely simple – no programming knowledge is required.
A particular advantage is that the basic axis positioning function is already available in the delivery state. This function can be customized and extended via the script.

With the PQP-179-P, WEST has developed a universal pump controller that leaves nothing to be desired. The device is suitable for pumps in open or closed hydrostatic circuits. In addition to the essential swivel angle control, numerous functions can be activated depending on the application:
LVDT sensors for swivel angle and spool position can also be easily and cost-effectively integrated via the LDT-401 expansion module. This makes the PQP-179-P an excellent, economical, and high-performance alternative to OEM pump controllers – both for new installations and as a replacement for outdated or discontinued devices, such as the VT-VPCD cards from Bosch Rexroth.

FlexiMod offers a simple concept for integrating application-oriented solutions in electrohydraulics, combining the availability benefits of standard solutions with the individuality of custom designs.
Under the guiding principle “Parameterizing instead of programming,” W.E.St. Elektronik GmbH simplifies the implementation of customer-specific functions based on a standard device series, for which the script-based FlexiMod concept was developed. It adds a flexible layer to a fixed core of control and hardware-related functions, making it extremely easy to use and requiring minimal programming knowledge.
In the basic configuration, all process and setpoint signals are read in and, depending on the version, output to the driver stage or analog outputs. The actual signal processing function can be freely defined in the script. No programming skills or experience with common PLC programming languages are required. The script editor is clearly structured in rows and columns, where each row represents the result of an operation and the columns define the input signals. These are processed cyclically from top to bottom.
The script environment provides all logical operators, timing functions, mathematical operators, and several special functions. This allows for the generation of simple signals like a sawtooth waveform or the implementation of more complex tasks such as oscillating drives for cylinders.
We also offer variants that come with basic functionality pre-installed, such as positioning control. To shorten development time, users can make individual adjustments directly within this framework without having to implement the core function from scratch.
The WestScript scripting environment is available as a free download and supports both online and offline configuration. A convenient feature is the integrated oscilloscope, which allows users to simulate signal behavior during implementation to validate and adjust functionality before commissioning
The hardware architecture of the new series offers higher processing power, ensuring that even script-based applications maintain a cycle time of no more than 1 ms. It is platform-based and uses existing expansion modules, meaning FlexiMod derivatives are available off-the-shelf in various configurations – e.g., with or without power output stages or network interfaces. The base module includes analog and digital I/Os that can be flexibly configured via script for process and setpoint signals, often eliminating the need for additional controllers or I/O units.
Custom solutions are often commissioned from component manufacturers or require extensive PLC programming. Both approaches involve significant time, cost, and expertise, typically taking months. In contrast, script development with FlexiMod can be completed in days or just a few weeks. W.E.St. Elektronik offers services to develop scripts tailored to customer applications or to support users in doing so. It’s also possible to receive an OEM version with the custom configuration already onboard at delivery.
Thanks to the adaptability of devices with the FlexiMod Engine, they become a kind of Swiss Army knife for various tasks. For example, they can serve as functional replacements for control units during machine upgrades or repairs, faithfully replicating previous functionality.
A key advantage for system integrators and machine builders is that multiple configurations can be covered with just a few catalog numbers, allowing integration into different system or machine variants. The first devices featuring the FlexiMod Engine are the fully configurable modules DSG-112-U (with analog outputs) and DSG-112-P (with power output stage) for direct control of valve solenoids.

The UHC-126-U-PFN control module for position and pressure regulation can be operated via Profinet, Profibus, or EtherCAT, allowing for easy and fast integration into existing machine control systems. Function blocks for S7 are available. The position controller has been revised to meet special requirements, resulting in excellent dynamics and maximum positioning accuracy.

Additionally, a PQ pressure control function can be activated (with or without position control). In PQ mode, both pressures are typically measured to calculate the differential pressure.
The interface to the PLC is a Profinet connection. In line with Industry 4.0, all setpoints and feedback (process data) are available in the protocol. Module parameterization can also be performed via the bus.

A new addition to our family of hydraulic axis positioners is a module with an integrated power stage and Profinet interface. This combination enables the use of cost-effective and robust proportional valves without internal electronics. The Profinet interface allows seamless data exchange with the machine control system. Setpoints and actual values are transmitted digitally without any loss of accuracy. Extensive diagnostic information is available. The device can be fully parameterized either via the free WPC-300 software or directly through the Profinet interface. For this option, we provide a convenient function block for Simatic S7 controllers. This also makes it possible to store parameter sets in the PLC and automatically restore them during device replacement.
With the UHC-126-U-S2, we’ve developed three devices with identical functionality but different fieldbus interfaces, making even demanding synchronization applications easy to manage. This is the ideal technology for presses, motion drives, and all other applications where power and precision are essential.
The UHC-126…S2 implements a distributed synchronization system – a new and highly robust approach. The patented MR controller linearizes the control paths and completely eliminates interactions between individual axis control loops. The module is available with EtherCAT, Profinet, or Profibus interfaces.
