WEST Elektronik was founded in 1999 as a one-man business. Company founder Ulrich Walter used his many years of experience at various hydraulics companies to independently develop a functional link between hydraulics and electronics.
Starting with simple power amplifiers and positioning controllers, the product range gradually expanded to include additional control modules that cover the wide variety of control options in hydraulics. These technically optimized solutions were built on years of experience in hydraulics and continuously refined in collaboration with our customers.
Today, we offer a comprehensive product family for all typical applications - from basic power amplifiers to p/Q-controlled press controllers and multi-axis synchronization systems. Custom developments are also one of our strengths, and many well-known hydraulics manufacturers now use our “brand label” products. First-class quality, extremely short delivery times, flexibility, and fast, straightforward support in case of malfunctions ensure high customer satisfaction.
In addition to electronics, we also provide expert support for applications involving servo valves - from axis calculations to system simulation.
Who would have thought? An extraordinary year, shaped by the unexpected circumstances of the pandemic, is behind us. Unfortunately, the situation still limits our ability to maintain business and personal contacts as intensively as we’d like. But our focus is not on looking back—it’s on moving forward. We’re excited about a new era of collaboration, both digital and analog. And with that, we’d like to reintroduce ourselves.
At the end of 2019, after 20 successful years, Mr. Walter entrusted the leadership of W.E.St. Elektronik GmbH to us, bringing fresh energy to the company. Now, after a little more than a year, we’re also presenting ourselves with a new visual identity.
With the slogan “Hydraulics meets Electronics,” our core competence remains front and center. Our electronic control and regulation modules effectively connect hydraulic components with the control level of machines and systems, forming a cohesive whole.
Our new logo reflects this synergy with two hooks—one representing hydraulics, the other electronics—coming together to form a “W” for West Elektronik. The wordmark “WEST” bridges back to our origins: “Walter elektronische Steuerungen.”
Motivated by our new design and full of fresh ideas, we’re expanding our sales and service efforts to support you even better.
