The PAM-390-P is a compact valve amplifier with an integrated mini-USB connection for PC-supported configuration. It enables precise characteristic curve linearization over 10 support points to improve the valve characteristics and flexible scaling of the analog input via software.
As a high-precision, current-controlled valve amplifier for proportional valves with a magnet, the PAM-390-P is optimized for applications that require flexible adjustment of the valve characteristics.
As with the PAM-190-P, it is installed directly on the valve magnet using the proven DIN EN 175 301-803 A connector housing. The input signals and power supply are connected via a flexible cable with a 5-pin M12 connector, which makes installation in tight spaces easier.
The device also has an integrated USB type mini port for direct parameterization. The analog input can be flexibly switched between 0…10 V and 4…20 mA via software. The maximum output current is 2.6 A.
The device offers setting options for ramps (AA), MIN/MAX, dither (DAMPL, DFREQ) and PWM frequency. Its unique selling point compared to other valve amplifiers is the characteristic linearization (CC) over 10 freely definable base points, with which the non-linear valve characteristics can be precisely compensated and linear system behavior can be achieved.
The configuration is carried out on a PC using the WPC software via the integrated USB interface. Manual device-supported parameterization is not possible.
Thanks to the software-switchable input, no separate hardware variants are necessary for voltage or current signals. The PAM-390-P is the ideal choice when the non-linear characteristics of a valve need to be precisely compensated or simple on-site configuration via USB is crucial.
