Features

The MDR-337-P is a hydraulic pressure control unit that features an integrated power output stage as well as an automatic commissioning wizard. It can be operated using either a standard PID controller or a patented, exceptionally robust MR controller.

The unit is designed for installation within a shielded EMC enclosure (control cabinet) and mounts onto a standard DIN rail. It has an IP20 protection rating.

The device provides an integrated power output stage capable of delivering up to 2.6 A. The setpoint is determined via an analog input signal (0–10 V or 4–20 mA). Analog pressure sensors (0–10 V or 4–20 mA) can be connected for actual value processing. Module control is handled via two digital inputs.

Key parameters include the selected controller type (CTRLTYPE), the pressure controller's PID settings, and output stage parameters such as CURRENT, dither, and PWM frequency. The MR controller is configured using system time constants (MR:T1/T2).

The configuration is carried out on a PC using the WPC software via the integrated USB interface.

The device's key feature is its commissioning wizard, which automatically adjusts control parameters and sets critical power output stage parameters.
