The PQP-179-P-PFN is a highly flexible hydraulic control unit for pump regulation featuring an integrated Profinet interface and offering optional spool position control for the control valve. Features

The PQP-179-P-PFN hydraulic control unit is a highly flexible pump control module designed for both open and closed-loop circuits. In addition to swivel angle, pressure, and power control, it offers an optionally activatable spool position controller for the actuating valve. It is specifically optimized for pumps utilizing actuating valves with electrical spool position feedback to ensure maximum dynamic response and accuracy, serving as an ideal replacement for OEM control cards such as the Rexroth VT-VPCD.

The unit is designed for installation within a shielded EMC enclosure (control cabinet) and mounts onto a standard DIN rail. It has an IP20 protection rating.

The hardware provides scalable analog inputs for swivel angle, pressure, and spool position, supporting 0–10 V or 4–20 mA signals as well as LVDT measurements. For valve actuation, the unit features an integrated PWM power output stage capable of handling solenoid currents up to 2.6 A, alongside an alternative analog control output for valves with onboard electronics (OBE). Setpoints are provided via the integrated Profinet interface.

Key parameters include the PID settings for the cascaded controllers governing pressure (CP), swivel angle (CQ), and spool position (CV), as well as mechanical cylinder specifications for internal force calculation. Nominal current (CURRENT) and dither parameters (DAMPL/DFREQ) are critical for configuring the output stage.

Parameterization is performed either via PC using WPC software and the integrated USB interface, or via Profinet.

Standout features include a master-slave function for the synchronized control of pumps connected in parallel, as well as support for closed-loop circuit operation. The module also enables the direct connection of LVDT displacement measurement systems via the optional LDT-401 assembly and offers advanced process monitoring, including the display of the calculated hydraulic force.
